That is to say only it is possible to support the viability of the Spanish system of pensions reducing the current rights of the Spanish.

But that is not true because the proposal of the government centers on controlling exclusively the expense of the Social security and not on looking for formulae that make the increase of the income possible, breaks commitments already acquired to increase the public contributions to the financing of the system and tunes in to the interest of the management one of the financial services to be done by the already squalid familiar saving in the form of pension fund deprived.

But there are alternatives to the proposal of the government. CC.OO. and UGT propose to guarantee the pensions system the following measurements:

• To favor and to improve that of Flexible Retirement, so that, supporting the legal retirement age at the age of 65, the workpeople could choose voluntarily between anticipating or delaying the retirement age. The Flexible Retirement, which exists already in our country, helps the sostenibilidad of the system, and does not suppose any rights clipping.
• To improve the financing of the System of Pensions. To reach the sources separation, so that the public financing assumes entirely, between others, the complements to minimums (more than 4.000 million euros a year are paid by quotations). Progress of the Interprofessional Minimum wage (up to bringing it over to 60 % of the average salary) to improve the quotations.
• To keep on improving the minimal pensions to place them over the poverty level.
• The adoption of measurements that encourage the permanence of the workpeople of more age of the labor market, reinforcing the active politics directed to this group and against the discrimination for age reasons.
• The progress of the productive model, so that all the workers have a quality employment and with rights, with sufficient wages, which there allows to assure the sostenibilidad of the system of long-term pensions.
• To create measurements that improve the social protection of the workpeople older than 50 years who have been expelled from the labor market.
• Instead of placing the target only in the expenses reduction, there must be tackled a new structure of income that guarantees the financial sufficiency of the system of Social security.

Now we have the word the workpeople, on us it depends that this regressive measurement goes forward. Between February 23 and March 6 in almost 60 declarations in the most important cities of been Spanish we will have opportunity to show our rejection to a few proposals that only think about how to satisfy the demand of the businessmen of the financial sector and of the financial markets. The future of the pensions is in our hands.
